Year 12 student Jai Thomas has been named one of Australia’s top 25 young rising stars in a national list put together by News Corp Australia.

Jai was recognised for agricultural work on his cattle stud – JT Country Life – and is already an old hand at genetics, breeding and on the show circuit having been active for more than four years.

The list of 25 individuals features those up to the age of 18 who have already started their careers and are achieving incredible success at such a young age.

Jai called on the help of his dairy farmer and farm manager father to start his cattle stud when he was just 13 and now, at 17 years old, runs a successful stud with many award wins under his belt.

Upon finishing at All Saints’ College, Jai aims to continue his interest in animals by studying veterinary science.
