Tuesday, 15 Januray

9.00am–12.00pm
HOMEMADE SAUSAGE ROLLS & FRUIT SKEWERS with Lyn from My Delicious.   Who doesn’t like a fresh baked sausage roll? In this workshop, participants will make their own sausage rolls which they can enjoy for lunch. Recipes will be provided so these homemade sausage rolls just might become your new family favourite. In addition to this, participants will be making fresh fruit skewers drizzled with chocolate…Yum! Wear closed in shoes, bring along an apron and be prepared for a morning of fun.  Cost: $50.00 

BARISTA MASTERCLASS with Michael Snadden (ages 13-17).  Flat white, latte, cappuccino? Do you want a part time job in a café? Michael will guide you to learn or freshen up your skills making classic espresso coffee production.  Gain the skills and knowledge needed to prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages and be prepared for that café or restaurant job. Learn how to operate a commercial espresso machine. A Certificate of Completion for your CV will be presented at the conclusion of this workshop. Wear closed in shoes and bring along an apron. Cost: $60.00

 

BATTLE SQUAD NERF WAR. Back due to popular demand! Grab your most decked out blaster and be ready to hit the field with the crew from Battle Squad Perth. You will work in teams where the goal will be to defeat the other team whilst playing a range of games.  All players are to agree upon the rules before starting their epic battle so come up with some crazy ideas that will satisfy you, and your whole team. May the best Nerf battler win. Blasters (should you not have one) and Safety glasses will be provided. Cost: $40.00

PANCAKE ART with Lyn from My Delicious. Using a batter filled squeeze bottle, participants will draw outlines and then fill the gaps with more batter. The batters contain different colour food colouring so that contrasting shades can be achieved by allowing parts of the image to cook longer. When cooking is complete, the pancake is flipped over to reveal the final image. Participants will only be limited by their imagination. Remember to wear closed in shoes and bring an apron for this super fun, unmissable workshop. Cost: $50.00
LACROSSE ‘Come n Try’ with Phoenix Lacrosse Club. So what is lacrosse you might ask? Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. Players use the stick to carry, pass, catch and shoot the ball into the goal. So come and have a try with Andrew from the Phoenix Lacrosse Club and see if this is something you might enjoy! Cost: $25.00
DREAM CATCHER WORKSHOP with Zoe from Contagious Crafts. Dream catchers for young people with big dreams! This fun and interactive workshop will have participants making a large, 30cm dream catcher using as many materials as they like including a vast selection of decorative feathers, yarns, beads etc. Happy dreams…. Cost: $35.00

 

Wednesday, 16 January

HOOP MAKING & HOOPING with Happy Healthy Hoops. Step outside the box – dance inside the circle! In this hoop making workshop, participants will learn how professional hula hoops are made, then decorate your own hoop to keep. After you’ve made the fanciest hoop in town, learn some wicked hoop tricks that will wow your family and friends. This will be one very energetic workshop. Cost: $50.00
HARRY POTTER COOKING WORKSHOP with Lyn from My Delicious. We’ve found three of the most spell-binding Harry Potter recipes for this fun 3 hour workshop. Participants will make Harry Potter cupcakes, golden snitch cake pops and Harry Potter inspired “Polyjuice” slime potion. Harry and his pals loved these sweet treats at Hogwarts.  Wear closed in shes and bring along an apron and be prepared for a morning of fun. Cost: $50.00

BESPOKE SLIME WORKSHOP with SlimeFX. Chances are, your house is ankle deep in slime. This slime workshop will help participants perfect their slime making skills and create slime masterpieces. Participants will make 3 bespoke slime designs including, Banana Beatbox – it smells just like a sweet creamy banana milkshake, Pastel Funfetti from their signature Frosting range and Choc Chip Mousse with a chocolate fudge scent that’s intoxicating. This is seriously the most fun slime ever and will last for ages. Be quick as places will fill fast. Cost: $50.00
SNAKES & LADDERS CHOCOLATE BOARD with Lyn from My Delicious. Snakes and Ladders is played between two or more players on a game board having numbered, gridded squares. The difference is, these gridded squares will be made from chocolate and the whole board game including snakes, ladders (pretzels) and dice will be edible! The phrase “back to square one” originated in the game of Snakes & Ladders but this will be one game board that participants won’t mind going back to! So roll the dice and try your luck. Wear closed in shoes and bring along an apron. Cost: $50.00

MINECRAFT CAMP with MINDBUZZ. Minecraft camps are designed to be exciting engaging and a safe and fun place to make friends and learn new skills. Students learn server commands which are the building blocks of coding and advanced computing. All participants receive a camper lanyard, a 20-page workbook and one month access to the safe server following the camp so participants can continue playing with their new friends. Students are welcome to bring own mouse (one will be provided but sometimes participants have their own awesome gaming mouses) and if they like to listen to the game music, they can bring headphones.  Book early for this workshop for children of ALL Minecraft skill levels. Cost: $80.00

 

Thursday, 17 January

9.00am – 12.00pm
AUSTRALIAN INSPIRED GRAFFITI & KOALA LAMINGTON CUPCAKES with Lyn from My Delicious. Participants will have 6 fondant covered cupcakes to decorate. Edible ink pens in various colours will be provided. Be creative by adding your own literacy quotes and Australian flag. In addition to this, imagine making the cutest Koala Lamington Cupcakes complete with marshmallow ears and a black jellybeans for a nose. Wear closed in shoes and bring along an apron. Cost: $50.00
PARKOUR with Perth Parkour. Parkour is an attitude and training method for movement through any environment at speed. The concept is to overcome all physical and mental obstacles in your path by using your body and mind to run, climb, jump and vault. Perth Parkour will teach you the basics of Parkour and will promote a positive understanding and awareness. This parkour workshop is open to participants of all skill levels, beginners are welcome. Cost: $40.00

STRING ART WORKSHOP with The String Art Co. Participants will enjoy hammering and using coloured yarn of their choice by creating their own string art masterpiece in this unique and engaging workshop. With a HUGE range of designs to choose from which are totally appealing to both boys and girls; including a rocket, love heart, tee pee, smiley face, flower, star, dolphin, robot, cupcake, butterfly, soccer ball, dream catcher and MORE, this will be a fun new take on an old fashioned art form. Remember to wear closed in shoes as participants will be using nails and hammers! Cost: $55.00

As part of our commitment to child safety, we use a sign in / sign out software application called Passtab. This requires you to scan a copy of your ticket at drop off and pick up and takes a photo of the student for identification purposes only. REFUND POLICY: Whilst every effort is made to run workshops as publicised, on occasion changes to workshop, location and presenter of a workshop may need to be made.  All Saints’ College reserves the right to make these changes.  If you are unable to attend, notice must be given five days before the commencement of program to receive a refund.  If a workshop is cancelled by All Saints’ College, we will refund your money in full.

 

These school holidays, Firetech Australia will be running their hugely popular STEAM-based school holiday workshops in both December and January for children aged 6–17.

Firetech workshops also represent an exciting, technology-based learning experience, where children can be challenged and engage their design thinking, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills – building great digital citizens for the future.

Courses will be running on Monday, 17 December, Tuesday 18 December 2018Thursday 10 January and Friday, 11 January 2019.

The College has partnered with Code Camp to lead an exciting program of workshops for students. Code Camp have already taught more than 40,000 students in Australia, teaching them important skills such as computational thinking, logic, creativity, user experience, app development and game building in a fun and engaging way.

These January School Holidays, Code Camp is facilitating four workshops all All Saints’ College:

  • Little Heroes – These camps are designed for our littlest coders who want to make the first small, but important steps to becoming creators of technology, not just consumers.
  • Spark –This is our most popular camp which over 25,000 kids have completed so far and where every child aged 7 and above should start their Code Camp journey regardless of their prior coding experience
  • 2D Game Makers – Are you ready to take your coding skills to the next level? This camp is for those who have conquered Code Camp Spark or who already have a lot of coding experience elsewhere. Build your own top-down adventure game with heaps of mini-games and fun features!
  • Web Hackers – Brand new for Summer 2018/19 – build your own website at Code Camp! Students will learn HTML, CSS & JavaScript to create a multi-page website on a topic of their choice.
