Project Utopia at All Saints’

Coeducation is education for life. Naturally

Project Utopia, undertaken during the students’ InnovatED class, sees our Year 7s work in teams on developing liveable cities that meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Each week, and as part of ASC’s commitment to porous borders between school and community, our Year 7s welcome visitors who challenge them with ‘real world’ experience and questions, in order to help the students develop their projects.

In weeks 1, 2 and 3 our students have welcomed visits from:

  • Senator the Hon. Mathias Cormann – Minister for Finance
  • Liza Harvey MLA – State Opposition Leader
  • Anthony Spagnolo – Liberal Candidate for Riverton
  • Dr Brad Pettitt – Mayor of Fremantle
  • Dr Kate Brooks – Director of Stakeholder Engagement – MTPConnect
  • Paul Garbett – Director of Strategic Planning and Projects – City of Fremantle
  • Chantelle Gilbert – Senior Planning Officer – City of Belmont
  • Jason Pitman – Biodiversity Coordinator – Perth NRM
  • Shay Crouch – RegenWA Coordinator – Perth NRM
  • Professor Romy Lawson – Provost – Murdoch University
  • Senator Jordon Steele-John – Western Australian Senator for the Greens

and look forward to engaging with many more key figures from industry and politics throughout the rest of Term 3.
