Junior School Vision

Junior School Vision

All Saints’ is proudly a leader in coeducation, committed to understanding and meeting the needs of our students. The student cohort consists of 400 boys and girls with classes double streamed from Pre-kindergarten to Year 6.

Within the College we believe that children should feel secure at all times, and be treated with respect while gaining resilience and developing responsibility. Students are encouraged to be thoughtful in their actions, be active learners and enthusiastic participants and contributors in the life of the College and community. Christian values guide staff and students as they acknowledge the importance of the spiritual aspect of humanity.

As a College we take seriously our commitment to encouraging students to have a positive attitude to learning, including when they are challenged to gain deeper understanding and appreciation of the complexity of any given body of knowledge or set of skills. We seek to celebrate the uniqueness of each child and encourage self-reflection to gain self-knowledge, including an appreciation of how each one best learns, what they most value and how they can most effectively contribute and achieve success. We value creativity and expressive communication and listen with respect to the student voice

We encourage students to continue to be curious, ask questions and gain strategies for research and inquiry, while giving necessary attention to essential skill development. A culture of innovation is fostered as teachers search for new and interesting ways of presenting information to stimulate learning. We work hard to develop rigorous programs that inspire children while meeting the needs of each gender and their different interests and abilities. Our team of purposeful teachers are at the centre of this commitment, dedicated to high quality pastoral care and encouraging the growth of confident, capable and well-balanced young people.
