Invite-only innovation and entrepreneurship camp for ASC in China

Professor Yong Zhao with students at All Saints' College

All Saints’ College staff and students have been invited by Professor Yong Zhao to attend an exclusive innovation and creativity camp in China later this year.

Fully-funded trips are offered for up to ten ASC students (aged 14 – 18) and two ASC teaching staff to attend the inaugural and invitation-only Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Education (ICEE) Summer Camp in Chongqing, China.

Conceived and designed by Prof. Zhao, the ICEE Summer Camp is a two-week program that focuses on developing globally competent, innovative, creative and entrepreneurial youth.

The program follows the three pillars of the new paradigm of education proposed by Yong in his book, World Class Learners: Educating Creative and Entrepreneurial Students (Corwin, 2012): student autonomy, product-oriented learning and global campus. The program engages students from different cultures in a series of thoughtfully-designed and coherent experiences aimed at discovering and enhancing individual talents and passions, fostering creativity, cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit, and developing global competency.

Forty students from Australia, the US and Europe have been invited, with ASC being offered 25% of the student spaces available given its close relationship with Professor Yong Zhao who is also the Patron of the College’s Djoowak: The Beyond Boundaries Institute (BBI).
