ASC Equestrian Team saddle up at Championships

From 25 to 27 April 2014, eight Junior and Senior School students represented All Saints’ College at the WA Interschool Equestrian Championships.

The Equestrian Championships is the largest single sporting Interschool gathering in the State, with close to 70 schools participating.

The students competing for All Saints’ were: Rebecca Radny (Year 12), Rachel Yovich (Year 9), Phoebe North (Year 9), Grace Clavey (Year 9) Tayla Pritchett-Divirgilio (Year 8), Samantha Lamont (Year 8), Emma Cumming (Year 7) and Grace Lamont (Year 6).

The students competed in Dressage, Show Jumping, Showman and Eventing/Combined Training classes.

Overall, the team achieved many personal bests and they should all be congratulated for their excellent sportsmanship and positive attitudes.

In particular, Emma Cumming achieved some commendable results in the 15 classes she entered over five different disciplines and was awarded the overall Champion Primary School Rider.

Emma along with Rebecca, Rachel, Phoebe and Grace all gained qualification for the National Interschool Equestrian Championships, to be held in Victoria from 29 September to 3 October 2014.

Congratulations to all the riders and their horses and special thanks to Team Manager, Mrs Jane Radny, for her devotion to the ASC Equestrian Team.
