All Saints’ College Little Shop of Horrors Production

All Saints’ College Little Shop of Horrors Production

After premiering in the West End almost four decades ago, the cult classic musical Little Shop of Horrors is returning to the stage at All Saints’ College…but this time with a twist!

This tongue-in-cheek comedy has been performed by All Saints’ Senior School students previously in 1998 and 2009. However, this year’s version is unlike the traditional production known by audiences around the world.

All Saints’ College Director of Arts, Mr Stephen Roberts, has stripped back and stylized the original script in a unique way which unveils the usually concealed rehearsal process.

Audiences will see ‘behind-the-scenes’ of the production with the backstage crew, band, sound and lighting technicians forming part of the on-stage cast.

And there’s no man-eating plant puppet in this production, instead, a ‘skeleton’ of the organism and several Senior School actors will bring Audrey II to life on stage.

Despite the College’s unique approach, the beloved characters and the suspenseful plot remains the same as in the original production created by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.

Little Shop of Horrors is packed with romance, comedy, mystery, suspense, murder, tragedy, and more. It is a musical everyone will enjoy!
